Christ Jesus, the Heavenly Offering

The benefits of a will are realized only through a death. Similarly, the promises of the Covenant come to us through the shedding of blood. Formerly, this required the repeated annual sacrifice of animals. But now, through the far superior finished sacrifice of Christ on our behalf, we receive God’s promise of salvation. May we be moved to worship Him.
