Into the Marketplace of Ideas

Acts 17:16-24

The apostle Paul’s missionary strategy among Athenian unbelievers reminds us of the biblical truth that there truly is nothing new under the sun. As in the time of Paul, so also in our day, we understand that major cities play a great role in shaping culture and influence, much of which is idolatrous. Although challenging, Paul purposefully enters into this setting to winsomely proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we do likewise in our own context as the Lord grants us opportunities.
