While the transformation of the curmudgeonly Scrooge in Dickens’ Christmas Carol is a great story, it cannot compare with the good news of the gospel of Jesus. From his deep wellspring of mercy, Jesus gives us a new life story of repentance and living in his grace, as well as a new vocation of being living testimonies of that mercy in a doxological life of worship.
