| —Preparing For Sunday Sermon Text: 1 Corinthians 7:1-16 Sermon Title: “Bodily Reaction” A pastoral note on the sermon text: just like our last text from 1 Corinthians, this particular section will contain sexual themes, particularly in the domain of marriage. This will be handled with as much pastoral grace, care, and tactfulness as possible. Songs we’ll sing: Praise To The Lord There Is A Fountain Psalm 63 (to the tune of Before The Throne Of God Above) Jesus, Lover Of My Soul Jesus Paid It All —Congregational Meeting + Fellowship Meal We will reconvene at South Middle School on Sunday evening at 5pm for our fellowship meal and congregational meeting. The church will provide pizza that we can eat prior to the congregational meeting, then we can have our meeting, and if y’all would be so kind as to bring a dessert to share that we can enjoy after our congregational meeting that would be delightful. For the congregational meeting we will present the budget, give a brief update on the process with Rock Family Church, and then some of the members of the temporary session will read a letter containing their thoughts after the last 5 months of shepherding and interviewing members of our congregation. |
