“So often we try to develop Christian character and conduct without taking the time to develop God-centered devotion. We try to please God without taking the time to walk with Him and develop a relationship with Him. This is impossible to do.”
Jerry Bridges

Fellowship And Outreach Survey
The Fellowship and Outreach Committee is looking for your input to help us better serve the congregation. We want to hear what kind of fellowship events you enjoy, where you see needs for outreach, and how we can better support you in your growth and service. Please take a few minutes to fill out this brief survey—your feedback will help us shape the type and timing of events and programs as we think about the church’s yearly calendar. We will also provide paper copies and make them available on the table outside of the sanctuary for those who would prefer to fill out the survey on paper. You can turn in the paper copies on John’s desk or give them directly to Nathan Harlan.
New Bible Study Rhythm For The Fall
Three Bible studies begin Wednesday, October 7! The church has provided copies of the curriculum so that every family can have a copy. Pick one up on Sunday!
- Women’s afternoon study — 1:00–2:30 PM, with childcare for ages 5 and under
- Women’s evening study — 6:30 PM
- Men’s evening study — 6:30 PM
During the evening studies, activities and childcare will be available for ages 5 and up. High school students can join the men’s or women’s study if they’d like, or take part in the activities instead. There will be no nursery care for infants in the evening. Come study with us!
Message From The Deacons
As we prepare our new space, we’d love your help with a few more things:
Maintenance To-Do List
The diaconate updated the list of maintenance items on the “Mercy | Service Opportunities” Google Doc, under the Church Maintenance To-Do List tab. If there’s a task you’d like to take on, just let one of the deacons know or email them at deacons@mercypca.org.
