Announcements
| Here’s just a few announcements for the life of Mercy Church! —Evening Worship This Sunday We will be having an evening worship service this Sunday at 6pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to bookend the Lord’s Day in worship, as well as to spend more time in fellowship with the body of Christ. —Congregational Meeting 11/2/25 On Thursday, October 23 the session met in order to call a congregational meeting on Sunday, November 2 for the purpose of voting on the sale of our current property. This meeting will take place following worship at a more precise time to be determined at a later date. Here is the recommendation from the property committee: The Property Committee recommends that Mercy Church accept the offer of $215,000 made by Ty and Dawna Petrice made on 10/23/25 for the sale of the land on Pleasant Hill Road. Having consulted with our realtor and negotiated the highest price the seller was able and willing to accept, we believe that this is a reasonable and profitable opportunity to sell our property and make the asset more immediately and readily available for whatever purpose God has for Mercy Church. —Women’s Fellowship Meal Tonight All Mercy women, including college students, are invited to come out to dinner at The Backyard BBQ at 6pm on Friday, October 24th. Our hope is to fellowship and discuss a women’s evening Bible study and other fellowship events for women. —Session Meeting 10/27/25 Our next session meeting is Monday, October 27 at 6pm. And just as a pastoral note of encouragement I wanted to remind you that the responsibility of this session, in addition to the normal process of shepherding and leading Mercy, is to figure out what went wrong and how we ended up in this particular place as a church. This particular shepherding issue is on every docket for all our session meetings. We are actively working to figure out what happened and how to respond in the most biblical, gracious, and appropriate manner. At this point the Session has not requested any particular information from anyone in the congregation, but if you have something that you would like to share with or ask of the session you can always do so. Please do not hesitate to reach out. —Songs for Sunday Here’s what we’re singing this Sunday if you’d like to familiarize yourself with tunes + lyrics!Morning: Psalm 1 (How Sweet And Awesome Is The Place Tune) Rejoice There Is One Gospel When I Survey The Wondrous Cross The Power Of The Cross Evening: How Firm A Foundation Praise To The Lord Thy Mercy, My God Here Is Love Vast As The Ocean |
