1 Samuel 8:1-22

Just as Israel rejected God’s kingship over them, so we too are prone to reject his rule and his wisdom in our lives.  We prefer to have things our way, in our time, to our own peril.  Jesus didn’t redeem us from our sin to give us a comfortable life but rather to display his glory.
