1 Samuel 15:1-35

All of us have had high hopes that were never realized, and that is very disappointing.  We see in today’s narrative that a presumptuous King Saul is in conflict with God’s purposes for his people.  While this king was a disappointment, that did not thwart God’s plans.  Thanks be to God that he is utterly devoted to keeping his covenant promises and causing his people to flourish under his holy justice and protection.
