Responding to God’s Grace

Text: 2 Samuel 7:18-29

John Calvin, in his Institutes of the Christian Religion, writes that the knowledge of God is connected to knowledge of ourselves. In other words, the more clearly we see ourselves, the better we are able to see God (and vice versa). God’s servant David reveals a heart of humility as he comes before the Lord in today’s text.
