The Way of Resurrection Belief

Just as the dreaded check engine light in our car provides a warning we dare not ignore due the possibility of dire consequences, God’s word also offers us warning of potential death and darkness if we disregard his instruction. The scribes in today’s text aggressively opposed Jesus’ disciples at their own peril. In contrast, we see signs of life even in the doubting faith of a father and in his son’s restoration from possession, pointing us forward to the blessed hope of the resurrection for all who believe in the risen Christ.
