Ruth 1:6-22 Longing for home is a universal part of the human condition. Sometimes, however, we are tempted to make our home or to seek our identity in earthly things that can never truly satisfy. In today’s text, as Naomi returns to her home in Bethlehem and Ruth finds a new home among the covenant people of Yahweh, we get a glimpse of our true eternal home in Zion even in the midst of the ongoing struggles of this present life.
