2 Samuel 1:1-27

From the very beginning, Yahweh has formed his people through stories, and he continues to do so in our lives as well.  Although for followers of Christ, we understand the glorious end of the story, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be injustice and grief along the way.  It’s good to remind ourselves that Yahweh is sovereign even over our stories of grief.  That allows us to sing songs of lament before him honestly and specifically, while seeking to know our own hearts and respond virtuously even in the midst of the trial.
