A Quick Pastoral Encouragement
Church family, I wanted to give you a quick pastoral encouragement for this coming Sunday. Last week a PCA church plant in Fairmont closed down. This church did a very good job of faithfully serving the region via mercy ministry, particularly among the poor, marginalized, and struggling. One of the women affiliated with this ministry reached out to me as the chairman of the MNA committee (which is the committee that oversees church planting in our presbytery) for pastoral advice and counsel. Part of my counsel to her was to invite any from that fellowship to come worship with us until they can figure out what to do next as a group. So if you see anyone unfamiliar on Sunday morning, please greet them and extend the warm hospitality of Christ their way. And please pray for their community to have wisdom, discernment, and resilience.
November 8th Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal
There will be a fellowship meal this Sunday, November 8th, immediately following the morning worship service. The church will provide the ham, turkey, and drinks; please bring an alternative main dish, side, or dessert. Thanksgiving-themed dishes are welcomed but not required! Questions can be directed to Carmen Niichel.
REMINDER: Fellowship And Outreach Survey
The Fellowship and Outreach Committee is looking for your input to help us better serve the congregation. We want to hear what kind of fellowship events you enjoy, where you see needs for outreach, and how we can better support you in your growth and service. Please take a few minutes to fill out this brief survey—your feedback will help us shape the type and timing of events and programs as we think about the church’s yearly calendar. We will also provide paper copies and make them available on the table outside of the sanctuary for those who would prefer to fill out the survey on paper. You can turn in the paper copies on John’s desk or give them directly to Nathan Harlan.
