—Message From The Deacons
Dear Church Family,
With the federal government shutdown and lapse in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for many families in our community, food banks are running low and the community needs our help!
We invite you to support any food bank or service you know of or desire to help, but here are two ways we can be the hands and feet of Jesus for those in need:

1. Christian Help has provided a wishlist of non-perishable foods on their website that they are in need of for their food bank. You can purchase items online and have them shipped directly to Christian Help using this gift registry link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/30QSD1JCI855M/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex (If you’d like, you can leave a gift comment for the workers, like: “Thank you for your service to Christ and the community! Love, Mercy Church.”)

2. Looking ahead to December, we will be collecting food items to support a food-drive at South Middle School for students from low-income families who will need extra help during the holiday season. More details to follow!

Thank you for your generosity and for answering the call to serve when our community needs it most!
Blessings in Christ,
Mercy Church Deacons

—Additional Communication Platform
We are testing an additional communication platform for our church utilizing the app Discord. This will be a space where we can stay connected, pray together, share updates, and fellowship with one another throughout the week. Whether it’s a quick prayer request, an encouraging word, or just checking in with your church family, Discord gives us a simple way to keep building community beyond Sunday mornings. To join or get more information, please see John Downs, a deacon, or Bryan Cox to get invited to the server.

—Guitar Workshop
Terry Schnell would like to offer a short (about 90 minutes), free workshop on acoustic guitar for anyone who already knows basic chords and would like some tips focusing on playing worship music. No commitment. Anyone interested can reach out to him and a date/time will be scheduled.
